New Music Releases Thread

There's a new album out from The Declining Winter (led by former Hood bloke Richard Adams) tomorrow. Very limited physical formats are for sale on bandcamp. I think it's on streaming platforms a week later.

Haha yeah it does appear that way. They seem fairly different with the book being a lot more violent. Was very confused with some parts of the album that just don’t happen in the book

Will watch the film at some point. I only read the book as I thought that was what the album (thought the plan was a proper play mind) was going to be based on
Watched the film in Film Studies at Washy Comp. Warriors one week and Wanderers week after.

I really liked Amyl on the first listen but I've heard the singles quite a lot before hand.

Pixies wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. There's a few duds in there but it's okay. It's like two different bands between the original run and now.

I gave Underworld a listen too because it's been getting good reviews. It was pretty decent, not really my cup of tea.

I'm still loving The Hard Quartet album from a few weeks ago. I keep getting drawn back to it.

The One True Pairing album is surprisingly good. For anyone unaware it's the solo project from Tom from Wild Beasts (the one with the deep voice). His debut was pretty shit to be honest, but this is a total change of direction, much more introspective and folky. Its been a good year for Wild Beasts solo project spin offs.

It's good, although I don't get the Nebraska era Springsteen comparison made in a couple of reviews/articles.
