The Pitchfork lists are always terrible.

That Fiona Apple record is surely the most overrated release of the last century. Cannot wrap my head around it. I think we collectively lost our minds during the pandemic.
I’d agree but Brat is slowly making its way to claiming that title for me. People are going way overboard with it.

Seen countless perfect score reviews for it, but never met anyone in person who liked it that much :)

Enjoyed it at the time but never ever go back to it

Any decent music tracks reviews

This is their all time, since they started chart. It’s wild. That Dylan record ffs.

This place seemed to wang on about them all the time, and I never got them so still assume 'it was just me'.
fully agree with you. Loads of music I don't like but I still get it and understand why it has an audience and know it just isn't for me. That band though are one of the very few that just leave me completely lost for words.

I'm surprised by this as it's not like they're a radical or 'challenging' band. That record sounds a bit like Funeral by Arcade Fire in parts. Surely you can see the appeal even if you don't enjoy it? The growth between the debut and the follow up was pretty remarkable as well. Give it another go!
It’s a truly brilliant album. I haven’t seen them since he left, but it does seem they’ve peaked
Everything they've done since has been ropey at best. They'll end up calling it a day and generating a few good spin off acts I think after this next record. Tyler Hyde is a serious talent.

I’m still a sucker for Athens, France off the first record. Was a tune that

For any other PJ Harvey fans/nerds here there's an album called London Tide (World Premiere Recording) streaming from today. It's songs written by PJ Harvey and Ben Power for a National Theatre play. I'd like to hear the demos, but on listening to the album, I can imagine Polly singing many of the songs. She's on this short video talking about the project.

Love a bit of Polly thanks for posting.

I’d never heard of WH Lung until yesterday morning when Emily pilbeam played them on radio 6. Listened to the first album yesterday and have listened to the new one twice today. Very very good
The debut is a cracker, I've played the life out of that. The follow up wasn't up to much though. They're good live so worth seeing. The singer looks a lot like John Stones, once you see this it's hard to unsee.
