I actually think they’re massively taking the pissI do really like the new tune but fuck me, they couldn't be trying any harder!
They don't half polarise opinion

Cheers. Just had a listen - quite enjoyable. I'd add 'soul' to the list of genres. 'Lifeline' was the standout track for me.My brother's got a new album out today, for people looking for something new. Hard to describe the genre.. It's like indie jazz funk with a couple of folk/acoustic ones..

Well, we saw For Those I Love last night at Manchester Dear Institute and, like you say, it was an incredible performance - like no performance I've ever seen before as it was so raw and powerful. There were lots of his friends from Ireland there which added to it. I have never been to a gig where so many people were wiping away tears as the walked out. Amazing gig.Self Esteem top of my list.
For Those I Love last night was absolutely outstanding. Incredibly emotional gig as well. If anyone skipped this record earlier in the year I'd recommend going back and listening. Comfortably album of the year.
I don't think they mean 'album of the week' as in 'best album of the week', more as in 'most anticipated/discussion-worthy album of the week'A mystery to ponder. The Guardian album reviews today: Self Esteem's album gets 5 stars, Helado Negro gets 4 stars, Lana Del Rey gets 3 stars. Which is their album of the week?
“Whichever record label has paid us the most money album of the week”I don't think they mean 'album of the week' as in 'best album of the week', more as in 'most anticipated/discussion-worthy album of the week'
We'll agree to disagree.“Whichever record label has paid us the most money album of the week”
Suspect he’s doing nothing more than undermining his legacy with this acoustic album release…Richard Ashcroft

Marissa Nadler for me, and I’ll probably give the new Chris Rea one a cursory listenA bit of a quieter week for new releases. We have albums from Jerry Cantrell, Lotic, Marissa Nadler, Mastodon, Mick Jenkins, Richard Ashcroft, The War On Drugs, They Might Be Giants, Tori Amos, Linda Fredriksson, Nightmares On Wax, Lily Konigsberg, Justin Adams & Mauro Durante, Lunar Vacation, Ashley Shadow, Philip Frobos, Hayes Carll and Billy Bragg.
Quite a slow week after last week’s bonanza. WoD, TMBG and Billy Bragg for me I suppose.A bit of a quieter week for new releases.
