She's great is Pip, always great to see another act like that from the UK. Her Colors video from last year racked up a rather large view count, helped her massively.

Also enjoying jehnny beth's latest of late mate, sounds to old giddy like she's been ingesting a bit jenny hval and karin dreijer there. interesting turn

Dirty Projectors - I've listened to both the new EP and the one they released in March (which I missed). Both are pretty good but not world changing.
Snowgoose - this is the bunny! Folky indie vibes, wonderfully crafted songs, beautifully performed.
Bananagun - it's very, very good but the reviews suggested more. Australian tropicalia so good time summer vibes to the max.
Khruangbin - this is also the bunny! (maybe a different bunny?) Laidback magnificence from A to Z. 'Connaissais de Face" may be the best thing I've heard this year.

Final batch of new things for me this week:

Haim - enjoying this a lot. Their best album so far, comfortably.
Ray LaMontagne - pretty good, slightly low key, primarily acoustic Americana.
Arca - one of those albums that seems to have all the right parts but just doesn't fit together correctly.
Vacant Lots - enjoying this quite a bit. Obvious Suicide influences.
Lyr - Simon Armitage's (of Poet Laureate fame) new band. Largely spoken word over instrumentation. Engaging but I'm not sure I'll come back to it too much.
Art Feynman - artsy pop with world music (ish) influences. Rather good.

Album of the week: either Snowgoose or Khruangbin. A few others not far behind though.
 
Stumbled upon a couple of 2020 albums yesterday that the search function claims weren't mentioned on here.

Ratboys - Printer's Devil. Girl vocal duo, a little 90 punk/indie with some pretty folky tinges here and there (I think from a bit of exploration, they were more like this on earlier stuff), in a similar vein to the likes of Tancred, Charly Bliss, Hiccup, Worriers, Juliana Hatfield, so little surprise that it's right up my alley. Not a million miles away from the Katie Malco of a few weeks back. Like it a lot.

Empty Country - Empty Country. New band from the main bloke from Cymbals Eat Guitars, who I saw supporting Pixies and Bob Mould and really enjoyed. This is still alternative, and quite blown up in places but has more of an Americana feel to it than straight-up alt rock. I'd have to listen to it again to decide - I'd say I like CEG more, but there were a few tracks that I enjoyed on this.
