Quite like the new Strokes record. Best in quite some time IMO and they were excellent at Roundhouse. Wonder if they’ve finally turned a corner the miserable twats.
His voice is great on it.

Yeah, I tried both yesterday and missed out on each, they went instantly (and suspiciously), then they announced last night they were going to do another run today due to demand. It was the only reason I was online - came in from yard work and looked on here in the couple of minutes I had to wait. Not listened yet but I'm guessing from what you said that it's more like old MGs, which will mean I'll prefer itAh, I bought the digital version earlier today and it said sold out then.

All Hail is probably my favourite, so that'll likely be right up my streetIt's very lo-fi.
I'm late to the party with Fontaines DC but just listened to their album and what a belter. Not what I'd usually listen to, a proper taste breaker. Bet they're great live
Heard the latest one they released and its quality. Gunna get the album and give it a whirlI'm late to the party with Fontaines DC but just listened to their album and what a belter. Not what I'd usually listen to, a proper taste breaker. Bet they're great live
Is that the song sang in French? Fuck me they seem to play that at least once an hourMassively. He was on their festival lineup pretty high up which generally means they’ll bum you for months before and after. See also: Nadine Shah, Brittany Howard.
Went back through some of Laura Marling's stuff over the last week before her release today, I'd completely forgot about the LUMP record somehow from 2018. That was a gem.
Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, etc on Friday. Hope that’s more helpfulYeah that’s not that helpful

I like what I've heard by Working Men's Club so far. I'm looking forward to when the album comes outthat’s Christine and the queens - been on the playlist for about 5 weeks now. Some good stuff on there atm otherwise - Pottery ‘Texas drums’, Oscar Jerome ‘sun for someone’, Yves Tumor and that Working Men’s Club track are all canny.

The Lounge Society track is indeed good, most of the Speefy Wundergound stuff seems excellentMe too. Great live before and even better now I hear. The front man got rid of the whole band after they released just two tunes and replaced them with the third member of Drenge and the lass from the moonlandingz. Very mark e smith of him.
If you like WMC would highly recommend the new Lounge Society single out on Speedy Wunderground. Mint label. And the debut from Yard Act which came out this week - ‘The Trapper’s Pelts’. Little bit Fall, little bit Jarvis.
