Maybe not the best week for new releases. We have albums from DaBaby, Danzig, dvsn, Enter Shikari, EOB, Fiona Apple, Gregory Porter, Howling Hexx, Lido Pimienta, Nicole Atkins, Rina Sawayama, RJD2, Ron Sexsmith, Shabazz Palaces, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Pack A.D. and Sir Richard Bishop.

Lots of good reviews for that Rina Sawayama record. Nu metal mixed with pop does not sit well for me however...

Hmm. Just gave one of the singles (Comme Des Garcons) a whirl. Definitely toward the pop end of things.

Gave it a listen on my morning walk, well tried to...Couldn’t take anymore after 4 songs

I’ve not given it a spin yet but I suspect it might be a bit “arty”. Unusual percussion “instruments” and unedited vocals I believe.

It seems to be getting tremendous reviews across the board though!
