New CEO appointed..

I think it's because whoever made the decision used his loaf and could see that removing Donald from Sunderland is best for all concerned.

Whoever made the decision to back the statement needs praising. Well done that man

Personally found it a little odd how the person took it off his own back to decide the opinions of its members.

It coincided with my opinion so I wasnt fussed but I'd not be over the moon now if they came out with a statement asking him to stay now without consulting.

Without Short’s money they couldn’t have gone anywhere near the club ! You didn’t answer the question about improvements on the pitch which is where SD said he wanted to be judged
I can't answer it honestly because of the mistakes made by SD he should never have appointed Ross 1st big mistake.
So all I can say is if the new guys come in mistakes I HOPE will be a thing of the past.
That's all I have got mate

I know we know each other, and after our chat on the bus I DO understand that the RAWA and the other groups find anger in CM's words.
HOWEVER we all make mistakes, and I know CM wishes he could turn the clock back. I also know he loves this club as season 2 proves.
So the big question is can we move on in more harmony
I also now know you were not aware of the statement, it was a shame you left Gatsbys before he came in we could have had a clear the air chat, it might have been worthwhile.
Anyhow onward and upward and I hope we move forward together.

This is how we move on in harmony. Apologise for coming in to the club so incredibley under prepared, admit they do not have the required intelligence to create a strategy for the club and announce ralf rangnick will be running the club head to toe from this point. They wont pass comment as to the job being done at any point but will promise to support him the best they possibley can. Problem solved.

His second mistake was sacking him too late and his third was appointing a two -bit manager used to mediocrity at best. We keep saying this but we can’t afford another season down here. SD says he is a man of his word, cheerio and thanks “fully committed” to selling Stewie. It wasn’t really that nice knowing you at all.

I hope you’re right. However the sheer volume of change needed is far greater than they’d consider it seems. They need a new manager, new recruitment, a new dof, a new strategy and an injection of money to correct the woeful performance and neglect of the last two seasons. They need Donald to never again involve himself in any aspect of the clubs day to day business. From what Rodwell has said so far that level of honesty, humility and accountability is nowhere near on the cards.

Well I'm biased and think the man done well. I'd buy him a pint 😂

Mistakes will always happen mate. It's whether or not you learn from them that's the main thing.

I dont think ross comes into the equation to be honest. Regardless of who you get the club will generally run of the curve that the strategy set up at the top allows.

Managers come and go, not all of those who have failed here are bad ones. They have always had bad bosses however and had to deal with previous poor decisions.

He may have bought the club at it’s lowest ebb at the time, however he has set the bar lower for two consecutive seasons. The problem is it looks like he could make it a hat trick. What is more galling is that if you manage to turn this club around and get it going in the right direction, the impetus will be too hot to handle, we know that from previous. We just need someone with a sense of direction, a bit of wedge but most of all a long term plan, a strategy to reach the Premiership, (preferably no f***ing mates as well), not just words and then jump from one bad decision to the next like stepping on hot coals. It’s reactionary, short term shit that has got us here and despite having a different owner, we haven’t learned a f***ing jot. Still buying journeyman shit footballers to see us through, even at this level. Is that what we were promised?

Get a model where coaches at all levels even including a 1st team coach who will coach to a way of playing. Choose a manager(s) who fit into that. Have scouts who can choose the players to fit in with the club 'ethos'. Make it sustainable with short, mid and long term targets.

As it stands we have a set up built for the short term with, seemingly, no long term strategy. We're here to make a couple of people a profit. Sooner they fuck off the better.

I would have been apposed to a short term plan, regardless of how we had performed, gone up or otherwise. But the fact that they failed at a strategy so basic is incredible.

Its underplayed just how badly they have spent money.

I think calling it even short term is flattering for him. The bloke hasnt got a f***ing clue what he is doing, who the fuck chose Parkinson? what the fuck is our style of play, why even bother with the academy? Sell it to a builder and put some f***ing houses on it, we might as well, when you consider what it is producing for the first team at the moment

I kinda understand what you’re saying mate, as as a club, it’s obviously better when everyone is united.
But I don’t think anyone is hung up on that meeting. I’m certainly not. And I’m sure he does regret it, as I’m sure he does have feeling for the club and fans. You can tell from STID and from being in his presence.
None of this is the reason the fans are discouraged with the owners. It’s how bad things have become from the last minute of the playoffs, onwards.
They undeniably did a good job when first arriving of steadying the ship, cutting some necessary costs, engaging fans, a team worth getting behind again, and a general good feeling back around the place.

Unfortunately a lot of that has been undone, and mainly through their own actions, or lack of them, and too many contradictions. Even things like delaying the tax return. Yes, it’s all above board to do so, but common sense would say why give the fans something else to be suspicious about with the current plight.
Fan groups, message boards, statements, Twitter posts, etc... mean jack shit when things aren’t right on the football side of things. And it’s ultimately been up to them to sort it. Alas, they don’t look capable.

His first mistake was buying the club without the funds to run it. Imo

So what else is new. Been like it from day dot, my troll amigo. Pickford + Hendo aside.
