Totally agree but why is most of what they produce such utter shite .It's two mates having a laugh and taking the piss out of each other punctuated with the perfect amount of feeling and genuine emotion.
It's one of the best things the BBC have commissioned in years.
Bit of a depressing Christmas on my own this year with both parents home in bed with Covid. I was looking for something to watch, and thought a Christmas special with Bob Mortimer would be just the ticket (even though I couldn't give a shit about fishing)...
It turns out that this piece of pure unadulterated joy isn't really about fishing as much as its about life. Absolutely wonderful viewing. British countryside and scenery is stunning.
I'm not on episode 4 of Series 1.
