I've done that before with Rodwell, it makes you realise how shit he really is
Exactly - put the player cam on him and you can see he ambles about the pitch getting vaguely close to the opposition. He really is a waste of a shirt. He made one tackle on Saturday and nothing more in 90 minutes.

The concerning thing for me is how many people on here think Gibson isn't British

He isn't. The full name is United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. He plays for the Irish Republic. Northern Ireland and the Republic aren't British

He had a far better game than Larsson and Gibson

His passport will say otherwise

Look its all opinions but Rodwell contributed nothing except one tackle, literally nothing. He is an England international and offers the team nothing. He is beyond defending. It would be impossible for him to have a far better game than anyone because to do so you would have had to contributed something - shots, tackles, passes - and, bar one tackle, he contributed nowt. You can say they were all useless but its simply wrong to say Rodwell was far better than anyone.

He was right. They've bullied us out of the game in three previous meetings. On Saturday our midfield coped well with them.
:) :) Do you know who made the most passes of any Sunderland player v Burnley? Jordan Pickford. He made 10 more than Darren Gibson, and 15 more than Rodwell. That's how good our midfield was. They were out-passed by the keeper...

He clearly meant traits that you would traditionally associate with British players - like showing gritty qualities and working hard. People really do use anything to have a pop at Moyes.

He played Gibson, Rodwell and Larsson ahead of Ndong, which surely blows that theory out of the water?

Might have meant a more modern vision of Britishness, based on conservatism, and ducking out of things in the hope it'll get rid of competitive foreign workers.
