Millionaires And Billionaires

Ok we all want to better ourselves and have enough money to live comfortably.

Have enough to leave to our children or loved ones etc. To make their lives a bit easier as they grow up.

Why do a very minority have millions and BILLIONS?

What do they actually want?

Millions is a lot different than billions in terms of societal impact in terms of wealth accumulation among too few. There are a fair number of people with wealth in the low (as in less than 5) millions who are still pretty normal in most respects. It’s when you get to 15 or so and up, where you no longer need to ever work and can just live off closed-shop private equity investments, that you start to see the equivalent of the 1700s landed gentry just slurping up everyone else’s efforts for themselves.

Millionaires and billionaires are 2 different kettle of fish ,them like the Beckham's are a greedy set of b(========) who exploit everything including the sprogs.

More money than their rich friends.

I’m not joking. There is nothing they want more than more money. It’s not money anymore in the sense of something you live on. It’s just a number that can be compared to others’, basically a penis-measuring contest of investment accounts.

It shows there are things wrong in a country, and it's not only ours, when there are billionaires with cash piled up living in huge mansions while others sleep on the streets often within walking distance without even a pot to piss in.

I'd retire and do the things I want to do if I ever got close to £1m. I would have no desire to make or need more money than that.

As SYB said...it's just numbers. I have enough to live on, a nice place to live...how will these numbers make my life richer? Only if I'm number competetive and have no knowledge of a spiritual self.

ps. Just watched a scare cam youtube vid...everyone was overweight, and all but one were holding phones, even the sleeping ones...money gave us that horror story.

But we have Governments that allow £50 million lottery wins, when everyone is screaming out for multiple winners of £1 million...it's as if they want us to be as greedy as them.

Never thought of that with multiple lottery winners. Be amazing if the euromillions could somehow be done like that. 100 million and that is just too much for one person

it's a no brainer, though the last thing any govt wants to do is make us all wealthy, they'd lose all control & power over us.

It's far too much money for one person and it would bring its own set of problems, you're wide open for blackmail, extortion and it would be hard to gauge what anyone's motives are.

Why not make 50 millionaires or give 100 people £500k? That's a life changing amount for pretty much everyone and is a far more manageable.

How could they do that in a randomly drawn lottery though ?

That would probably the scariest factor for me...loved for your material wealth is no love at all :(

A million seconds is 12 days.
A billion seconds is 31 years.

Bonkers. it should be harder to make your 2nd million, not easier.
31,000 years, I'm English. The American definition of 1 million is 1,000,000,000 (1 thousand million) the correct English definition is 1,000,000,000,000 (I million million).
