That's what it said in the article I read on Sunday..he was an experienced pilot who knew where the limit/border of the Australian radar stretched to and other countries nearby..i couldn't work it out when I read it.

Most accept that marra. Be hard not to when a transponder is switched off, a plane not on auto changes course and no mayday calls are sent out. It also nose dived whilst being in one piece apparently.
