I don't personally agree with this, it should be down to Ross to make the call like he did with Cattermole.

It is all down to opinions, he is an asset that we now have to get the best deal for, drop him and see what happens.

He wants to play and he wants to be the star man, well if that is the case and he wants to play and stay he should just sign and not hide behind his agents games. Psychologically it wouldn’t be right to play him. We need fight and desire not someone who has had his head turned.

Wyke should lead the line going forward, don’t play Maja, as simple as that. He isn’t pulling in the same direction as the rest of the club. We don’t need that mentality in the team. Playing players who want away gets you absolutely nowhere.

How has his position changed from last week though where he won us 4 points?

We need to get promoted, has to be priority surely?

Only an opinion chill ya tits
I was only asking why you are bothered whether its a press release or twitter? Press releases tend to be exactly what their initials suggest - PR, often dressed up in PR-speak. I far prefer Donald's approach - clear and straight to the point. People have years criticised the club for poor communications and now we have someone who is immediate, clear and direct - he is then criticised for having a ego - bizarre - what on earth do fans want? As for your post you just came across as very pedantic and almost desperate to criticise. Apologies if I miss read you.

Big difference though. Cattermole was never given an ultimatum and is a senior pro. Maja through himself/agent has stated he does not want to sign a contract and does not want to be here past the summer. Given the fact is is only a young lad, his head I would imagine will be all over and I doubt we will see the same level of performance. If he starts tomorrow and mis controls a pass, some fans will be on his back, this will have a negative impact on the team. I don’t ever want to see him play for us again, but wish him well.

That's your opinion marra and fair enough. Personally he if finishes L1 top scored on 25+ and leaves us as we get promoted then I'd take that. It's about the club not the player after all.

Ross was quoted yesterday saying he will continue to play him. Whether that changes in light of todays’s events we will have to see.

Of course he should. We'd be about 12th without his goals. As with any player, if his performance dips a then bench him. But I doubt if he will be here in a fortnight.

As long as he helps us beat Charlton and Luton, I'm confident we will be in a comfortable position secure a top 6 finish. Listen to offers, forget all below 10 mill and move him on.

It does if it prevents others from getting game time

7.5x his current salary. The player and agent are as bad as each other.

Depends on what he’s on now. What other clubs are offering. What division other clubs are in. What prospects other clubs have etc etc.

It isn’t just a case of ‘he’s a wanker because he didn’t accept 7 times his wage’. His contract is out end of the season and it his his right to do what he wants to do then.

I'm sorry, but i don't see how you can blame the agent entirely and not Maja.

It's Maja's decision at the end of the day, if he really wanted to sign and was happy with what we offered (which the story appears to be), then why has it taken him months to make a decision and decide not to sign anyway.

The agent works for Maja, not the other way round!

Because he's 19 years old and I'd imagine is relying heavily on his agent to guide him though his first ever contract dilema.

Seems like a decent kid and Ross obviously has a good relationship with him. He's under a lot of pressure from all sides and I can't hold it against him that he's doing whatever he is being told is best for his career/family.

Maja is a talented lad who offers something to SAFC. The agent is a parasite. Pretty easy to portion out blame accordingly.

if he was on 600 thats 4.5k which would mean ssn saying a significant amount but less than 10k was true. I'm not sure 4.5k is marginal especially as he will be starting in the championship next season

Once again....thanks Ellis. It's amazing that so many still wouldn't have a word said against him last season when until the very last he was creating a legacy of utter disaster.

This is just one if the many nigh on impossible situations the new owners are having to navigate.
