Exactly. Now we know the full story and that the blame lies with the agent. If we intend to continue playing him it's best for all concerned that the supporters get behind him.....which is easier if he's a young lady getting bad advice than if he's a greedy, lying, so and so.

This is my buggest concern in the way we deal with them. We aren't going to change the way football works and if we want to operate we need to play the game with agents. As much as I hate it, it's the reality and if we are to make a stand against them I'm not sure how many fans would accept the club being martyred for the cause.

Hes been offered a great deal by us for a young kid in division one..if he wants away then we move on.No choice..will be hard to replace.Think most expected this?
At least we know early in the window so scouting network needs to step up.Sell on clause is a must.

You've been mouthing off on here for weeks that the owner wouldn't give Maja the money he wanted, it now turns out we did offer him what the agent wanted and all you've got left in your locker is to moan about a tweet. You're an absolute mentalist and should seek help.
 
What should he do- an nice little interview with a sky so they can set there own agenda. No problem with the way he's done it. As far as I can see he's offered clarity on a situation that would have had fans driving themselves crazy blaming Maja or the owners.

Let's not forget if the agent had discussed this with the owners rather than his mates at sky we wouldn't be even having this discussion.

Agree, we just need to wait and see what happens before anyone overreacts.
 
Tbh if I was Maja I'd be saying that I wouldn't sign anything till the end of the season, if we get promoted Sunderland are in a position to offer a better contract and more likely to be able to match some other offers I'm sure would come his way.
If the lad stays till the end of the season (i.e doesn't get sold) and gets us promoted and then a bigger/better positioned club comes in for him then fair play.
Fact is Maja given his form is holding all the cards and his agent knows it.

I don't personally agree with this, it should be down to Ross to make the call like he did with Cattermole.

Totally agree. Wyke/Majas replacement should lead the line. We move on.

We should still play him if JR feels his head is right imo. He's by far our biggest goal threat and is improving his game by the week, it makes no sense to lose this if the lad is prepared to work hard and try his best.
