What an irritating twat you are, you making a mountain out of a mole hill give yourself a shake , balloon
Cheers so I never said he was to blame and you jumped in with two feet, it wasn’t too difficult was it?
Somewhere out there is a tree, tirelessly producing oxygen so you can breathe. I think you owe it an apology

Aye but nobody wanted to buy him. A team we owe money to took him in the end. Coincidence?

What do you want from the club? The player didn’t want to be here... holy fuck, no offense but some go on like the club just gave Messi away to the mags for free! It’s like you’re trying to find an excuse to blame someone because your favorite player is gone...

RR reporting that we won't see any money. 1.5m is upfront fee is being paid off when we bought Khazri from them. So the funds arent there to reinvest immediately.

This is gonna be the new excuse when we don't strengthen nee doubt

Thought we paid 22m in transfers using the paras in the summa

Roker Report saying we won't even get any money as we still owe Bordeaux from the Khazri deal!!!!!!

Coincednce he went to a klerb we owned money to...

Those Fookin agents....

I don’t think you’ve read anything I’ve wrote and made your own judgement to be honest but do carry on.

No idea, he could get injured, he could have a bad run, can happen. He could go and score goals at Bordeaux and be in a far better position, he could not play a game but he would still get a move back here and probably be in not much worse a position.
Pass me the crystal ball ffs

I’ve just quoted you twice...you have a conspiracy theory that the owners used the Maja situation to clear debt, you also said they are not as honest as everybody makes out...?

I’m guessing you wanted Maja to stay till the summer...? Then everything would’ve been solved. All of SAFC problems would be gone...hate to break it to you but we’re a long way off from a competing side. A lot more players are gonna come and go still....

Without his goals this season we’d not be in the top three in this league. People can argue about his decision and motives for leaving but he’s going to have to be replaced. We won’t miss his work rate or hold up play but as an out and out finisher he’s going to take some replacing.
All of what you say is true, no need for thanks though, he's a professional and has chosen to further his career elsewhere.

Definitely no need but it would have been a decent gesture. After all they wished Grabban Lewis well when he left.

I also said it’s normal and a good thing that they aren’t completely honest, especially for anyone in business let alone in charge of a football club when they have assets to protect and procedures to abide by but you’ve decided to take it out of context to suit.

Regarding players leaving you are correct. Loads will come and go so people need to stop acting like their lasses have just cheated on them when they leave and start calling them names on the internet.

I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that no club in the world made an offer for the player, bar a side who hasn’t ever even heard of him, who are also owed the exact amount of the transfer fee for him.

Charlie Methven himself stated we will sell academy players to cover losses before Stewart or Juan will and this is doing exactly that.

It’s good for Bordeaux because they get a good English prospect, who will likely get a move back to the UK in the future who tend to pay increased transfer fees, particularly English players.

It’s good for the agent because he gets the foreign move he wanted (probably for the same reason as above) and it’s good for the player because he gets a hefty signing on fee, and a further one again for a future move.

It’s good for the club financially because they cover an existing debt.

Is it good for the club overall? Debateable. We now don’t have anyone who can score goals, 5 days of the window to do what we haven’t managed to do in 26 days, while Wigan’s manager rinses us in press conferences because we’ve made 4 declined offers but knows we will come back again. And now everyone knows we are desperate.

I suppose we could tell the truth.

Josh Maja and his representatives were offered the terms they demanded but after those demands were met and despite assurances by Josh himself that he would sign a new contract he reneged on the deal.

He has turned his back on the club that made him into the player he is to sign for a non descript French club in a poor league for a hefty signing on fee.

Good luck etc.

Not sure I agree with that statement ‘the club made him into the player he is’

That’s used far too often by clubs to just describe a ‘good football player’

Who would have turned out to be a good player, simply because they are a good player!

Lets get rid of academy's and coaches, they don't need them..

Maja was kicking his heels after not being offered a contract by Man City when we picked him up at just gone 16. He's been at the club 2 months shy of 4 years.

In that time he has been nurtured by an excellent academy, been gently introduced into the first team and he has developed into a full time professional footballer.

He may have made it via another route, he may not. However, to not give any credit to SAFC for his development is frankly ridiculous.

Sunderland did not make him the player he is, they coached and enhanced his talent that he already had,the same way any other club would.

Of course Sunderland deserve loads of credit, it would be ridiculous to suggest such which I clearly didn’t.

However his talent got him where he is, and another club would have picked him up from Man City and coached him as well in the same way.

It would be ridiculous to suggest that he would not have turned out to be a good player with or without Sunderland!
