A week after Donald made the whole world know today was d-day. Played into the agents hands by the looks of it. It couldn’t have played out any worse for us.

I'm amazed that Donald set a deadline of today and thought right up to this morning that there was no problem in an agreement still not having been reached. He's very naive if that's the case.

he was never signing man...agent used the club to set the price for majas suitors...deadline shouldnt haver been made public but the agent and maja shpould have known about it..

Regardless of whether he was signing or not there’s a bigger picture. Manage the situation correctly, keep him until the summer - even if he leaves for pittence, but remains happy, committed and scores 30 goals. We get promoted. Surely that is more important than £2-3m.

Consider the consequences of not getting promoted this season for a minute. Without Maja’s goals I’d put that chance at somewhere close to 50%. It’s crazy. What a stupid unnecessary risk. You’ve only got to look at the way the manager has handled the situation to realise that

He’s a a London boy and wants to go back home. It’s career suicide for him as with Sunderland he’s the main man and chance of promotion and a cup final. He’ll not have a better chance of legend status.I’m annoyed we didn’t try harder with Stockley from Exeter as us West Country boys rate him. Ross should convert Watmore into a striker as he has all the attributes. Jermain come home as Player Coach. ITHICS.

I heard about that link with Stockley last week, I wonder if we were just looking at alternatives in case Maja didnt sign, and then Preston got there early

I can just imagine if no deadline and he left late on in the transfer window. Would have been on here clubs a disgrace and should have gave an ultimatum. I don't think he was ever going to sign. And if he leaves now or end of season thats the way it is. It's no ones fault really.

The speculation could have really been cut down though. The public deadline imo just wasn't on.

Do you really think the modern footballer gives a shite about being a legend anywhere? Unless you are a top six club they will fuck off First chance they get when something better comes along.

His agent would have still rang sky though, regardless of whether or not the deadline was public. Should a deadline have been set in the first place? Until the we know the outcome we're all pretty much in the dark marra.

He only made public that the club set a deadline, which makes sense as it's January window. His agent was well out of order going to sky rather than the club.

Don't agree Donald and Charlie are too public and should do the business quietly instead of constantly being on talk sport and social media .Maybe majas agent is pissed of with a 1 week deadline ,Was that necessary.Thats what's brought this to a head
