By far the most sensible option for Maja is to say thank you but I will see out my contract until the summer and review my options then. I am not signing a new contract now and I am also not allowing you to sell me like a piece of meat to someone who suits you. Pickford put £30m in Short’s coffers and Carroll £35m in Ashley’s. Maja needs to do what is best for Maja not Donald and his mate.

So we move on. Unfortunately, every time a player here is doing well, he'll get bought by another club in a better position. Same goes for every club outside the top 2 clubs in the world just about. Its disappointing but im amazed people are so surprised. Its up to the scouts and our academy to do there f***ing job and keep them coming.

I don't know why, like many others I am just guessing and trying to understand what is going on. My assumptions may be totally wrong.
If other clubs take up the offer, then he will have secured an even bigger pay rise for his client and himself. Now its in the open, it is open house.
His client will now get a loyalty bonus as he wont put in a transfer request

No I don’t, but if the club hadn’t gone public regarding the deadline in the first place, do I think we’d have had a better chance of keeping him until the summer? Absolutely I do, yes.

Sympathy for this point of view but if you get contacted by SSN is it not difficult to imagine a scenario where they aren't about to release the information?
Just went with what he knew and was honest. "Maja wants to sign, he's said so" it's the lying that has bit Maja on the arse, him, and/or his agent have been shown up for what they are, publically.

So where did Sky get their information from? It wasn't Donald - he was responding to a call from Sky asking for confirmation of what they'd been told. It was going to be in the public domain even if the club had taken the 5th.

thats silly. sky sports were ringing stewrat because they had a sytory that josh wasnt signing..so the agent had said it and put it in the public doamin..just because there name isnt on it doesnt mean they dont orchestrate it..
