100% behind Stewart here, it's about time everyone new the dirty tricks used by these parasite agents, they need to be kicked out of football altogether.

We offered him XWhat if x was what we simply couldn't afford. Maja will know what his mate at Swansea is on and maybe fancies being on the same. An amount at this current is beyond us.
Same wages we offered Maja, piece of piss really. How much will a striker who scores 15 goals in half a season cost? Asking for a mate.
His agent would have still rang sky though, regardless of whether or not the deadline was public. Should a deadline have been set in the first place? Until the we know the outcome we're all pretty much in the dark marra.Who knows?
One thing is for certain though he could have played tomorrow without added pressure on him.
Who has put it in public domain though? It's his agent who has contacted sky. I don't think personally he has ever had any intention of signing. That is his perogative of course, hopefully club has a replacement lined up.
Go on.By far the most sensible option for Maja is to say thank you but I will see out my contract until the summer and review my options then. I am not signing a new contract now and I am also not allowing you to sell me like a piece of meat to someone who suits you. Pickford put £30m in Short’s coffers and Carroll £35m in Ashley’s. Maja needs to do what is best for Maja not Donald and his mate.
He indicated he wanted to stay
His agent is pulling the strings
It was a fair offer
had to have a deadline iternally so the club could get oin with replacing him..camt justy let it drofy until the last hours of the window then not sign anyone..His agent would have still rang sky though, regardless of whether or not the deadline was public. Ah right. I’d only seen Downie say 7 time on twitter.
That being said though. Why would he tell sky 10k? He could have got 20k p/w off someone but now he’s shown his cards.
Maja cannot play for Sunderland again. That’s the way it works. He has told the club as much today.

No I don’t, but if the club hadn’t gone public regarding the deadline in the first place, do I think we’d have had a better chance of keeping him until the summer? Absolutely I do, yes.I asked you earlier but you didn't reply. If they hadn't gone public with deadline do you think he would have signed today?
I wonder if him telling Ross he wants to stay and today's events are linked. If that's got back to the agent he might be worried SAFC have talked him into signing as he would lose out on a slice of the fee/signing on fee.
Sympathy for this point of view but if you get contacted by SSN is it not difficult to imagine a scenario where they aren't about to release the information?Who’s put it in the public domain?
Stewart Donald has.

Who is responsible for what’s happened in the public domain today? I’d have thought it’s pretty obvious
Just went with what he knew and was honest. "Maja wants to sign, he's said so" it's the lying that has bit Maja on the arse, him, and/or his agent have been shown up for what they are, publically.Donald has messed up big time here he lives his life on twitter so cant complain when social media bites him on the arse .Backing Maja into a corner was stupid and unprofessional
