brandon I think it was my post where I said khawaja and prince would get tons has turned this around for us.

Superb fightback by durham this 186-2 at one point we were 184-8 to 251-9 is class

Hogg c Coughlin b Hastings 2. 251-9.

I'll take full responsibility for the poor bowling this morning - since I've come away we've skittled them!
That as well

Just hope that tomorrow will be as exciting. Build a good lead and then have a right go at them on Wednesday. Looking good!

Close - 16-0 Stoneman 9*, Jennings 7*. Lead of 88.

Wonderful fightback, from 205-2 to 266 all out, they never looked troubled when Khawaja and Prince were at the crease and similarly when Davies was batting. It took a good ball to get rid of Khawaja and after that they folded like a pack of cards.

Coughlin bowled well without reward for most of the afternoon, the wicket before Tea gave us hope but I couldn't have imagined what was to happen after the interval.

I just hope tomorrow we don't do what we did against Somerset and lose wickets cheaply, ideally we'll bat positively and be somewhere near 300 ahead at Tea tomorrow. Be perfect if we can declare sometime tomorrow evening giving us a quick blast at their top order - but that's a long way away.

For now, I'm just enjoying the fact that we've won two days out of two up to now.

It's a superb turnaround and well poised for Durham to grab the game by the throat tomorrow. I'm like you and slightly worried we may be feeling too confident and not get our batting heads on early doors ..... and no change in the weather forecast. Gerrin

The wicket did nothing for the first two sessions. It seemed as flat as a pancake, I don't know whether the last session was just good bowling/poor batting or if there was some assistance for the bowlers.....?

Looking at the age of the ball during that period it could've been reverse.

Hopefully the lads are positive tomorrow. Plenty of singles and working the ball around. If we get off to a decent start I think Lancs will soon revert to defensive fields and scoring may become easier.

We're on top for now but they'll still fancy their chances if they pick up a couple first thing tomorrow.

according to the journal : Meanwhile, the Riversiders are hopeful Usman Arshad will recover from a lower leg injury for Friday’s Twenty20 visit of Leicestershire.

also matt milnes took 5-39 for the seconds, with mcleod scoring 90.

got to have earned a chance in the first team by now? and who is matt milnes?

Matt Milnes is a 19 year old currently at Durham University and has been playing for the University side whose season is now finished.

cheers pal. surprisingly there is actually a cricinfo page on him, didnt think it was worth searching before, right arm fast-medium, from nottingham. numbers seem nothing to write home about but he is still young and taking 5-39 is pretty good going, we'll see.
