Be there Tuesday and Wednesday, hopefully to see a win as the weather is supposed to be "settled" for the week .....

Is it me or are we going in a bowler light...? Muchall 7, Mustard 8, Hastings 9, Wood 10?

Id drop Muchall and give Coughlin a go personally, a decent bowling allrounder prospect.

Stokes, wood, hastings, rushy, borthwick is 5 bowlers like, throw in overs from colly.

Lancashire have 9 batting points this season

How's Borthwick been bowling this year? I get the feeling we're relying on him if it starts turning
Hardly bowled tbh, and nee chance will it turn enough at CLS to make a difference.

Lancs only have 9 batting points hopefully our seamers can skittle them cheaply anyway.

66 overs for borthwick having checked which is nowt for a spinner

A couple of broken fingers haven't helped improve his workload, then again it's (unfortunately) apparent that he's becoming no more than a batsman who bowls occasionally.

The Lancashire batting lineup is pretty fragile. I know a few lads who support them and they really don't rate their batsmen. When seeing how much our bowlers have struggled this year it could be just the medicine......

Although on the other hand, the so far benign Riverside track could prove the necessary medicine for their batting lineup!

Durham 8/11, Lancashire 11/10.

@LancsCCC: No umpires or captains out in the middle, so looks like toss will be delayed. #DurvLancs

Is there rain at the ground like?

Lancashire win the toss and bowl. Coughlin plays.

Durham 8-0 (2 overs) Stoneman 8*.

Jenno off the mark with a beautiful cover drive. 12-0.

Big appeal from Lancs but commentators never interested.

4 overs - 16-0 both batsmen on 8*.

Even bigger appeal than last over, still no interest from umpires. Members not amused.

Jennings 12* and out scoring Stoneman . 20-0.

I know a lot of counties bat almost all the way down so im not sure if we are trying to mirror that but IMHO we are only playing with 1 genuine bowler....!? Seems strange but heyho, time will tell. Mustard starts the season batting 5 & is now down to 8... We have a specialist batsman coming in at 7...

Hows Arshad dropped out the picture or am I missing something (injury?)

just because we have allrounders doesn't mean there not genuine bowlers

Didn't last , Rocky scores three fours off a Hogg over. 40-0 - Stoneman 20*, Jennings 18*.

I don't think that's what DJ was implying in fairness. Just that we have a wealth of all-round talent it seems.

It's spitting. 42-0 after 8.

that's what I like about our team depth and options with the ball I think an overseas batter would make the difference

Fully agree.

Plunkett gets shot of Mathews in the Test. 441-9. Lead is 134.

51-0. Stoneman 26*, Jennings 23* off 9.4 overs. Like the Middlesex game - wonderful start.

10 overs gone. 55-0, Stoneman 30*, Jennings 23*.

Hogg 5-2-18-0
Ali 5-0-37-0

Jennings c Prince b Hogg 23. 55-1. Bollocks.

Ha'way Scotty. Another partnership a la Middlesex wouldn't go amiss.....

Khawaja apparently with the catch, not Prince.

Chapple replaces Kabir Ali. Key period this.

Borthwick off the mark with a four down to third man. 62-1.
