In what world is the train shite man. Stick your headphones on and enjoy a few drinks. You can even go for a walk to stretch your legs if you need to. It's the best way to travel.
Train is horrendous. Avoid.
It's expensive, minging and last time I was on it the police had to get on to stop squaddies fighting. Its dreadful. I'd rather drive and I hate doing that drive too.

This. The only issue is its generally a rip off.
Used to love a Thursday night train home that work were paying for, drinking and enjoying a book.
Driving is much easier now. M11 bypass done and no more roundabouts on the a1
It's fine. It's just a long trip. Best possible is 4hLast time I drove from the north east to London (Walthamstow) it was dead easy and hassle free.
A shout to the car. Driving up and down the M1 was a joy to drive to and you are never short of motorway services.
Why would anyone travel from London to Sunderland? You're meant to do it the other way around man.

I heard it was the best time of year to do itKings Cross is closed between 25th December till the 30th December anarl.
They need to do something about that 50 stretchNo issues on the A1 and the north circular was fine.Just all the f***ing plant pots blocking roada in e17 was the issue
Someone I know recently bought a London to Peterborough return and a darlo to Newcastle return. Booked their seat through lner website for the whole journey. Once thru the barriers they aren't doing ticket checks at this moment in time due to covid so loads cheaper they said.
Obviously it's against the railway bylaw to do that and you could face a fine. I'd never condone this type of behaviour being a railway worker.
You've had a mare there mateDo you not have your staff Rail Network Leisure Travel Pass?
Never used mine this year, wife works for a rail company
