Speakman is talking about having a budget and spending money which is in complete contrast to the cuts in everything over the last couple of years. Also into the analytics side of things which Donald seemed to think was irrelevant.

I can only assume the new investor has some intelligence and long term thinking as I'm not sure where else this dramatic change of strategy and interest would have come from.

Reckoned it’s rare a kid wants to leave at 16. Donald seemed to think all of ours wanted to go

It was actually telling in his comments about how he's never met a youngster who is looking for a move saying that they'd almost all rather break through to the first team. That's the exact opposite of what Donald has been saying about our youth. It's clear he's not pulling those strings.

I'm virtually certain that Donald will simply be a passive minority shareholder waiting for another cheque down the line.

Just watched it and it impressed me, of course talk is cheap and he acknowledged this, overall..........I’m in.

If that's his judgement, we have to trust him for now.

I only hope Johnson has a break clause in his contract if we don't get promoted this season but it won't be the case. At least Speakman has some pedigree...

If he's a head coach it should be easier to get rid anyway if it doesn't work.
