It's more because he was best mates with the bloke running us ( dong ren). Last season there was rumours they were both picking the side. He was only really disliked because we hate the owners so speakman just got threw in with them sort of thing.

No doubting he done a top job with the acadamy though.

This video is a love letter to the development of young players. Nobody who has witnessed the disaster that the Dreadful Donald regime has perpetrated on SAFC can fail to be excited watching that :cool: :cool:

Parents of academy kids will be very happy to hear what he has said.

I like the cut of his jib. As I said yesterday (re succession planning, player pathways etc. ): what is this madness?
 
If people can watch that interview and still think there's no takeover or that the takeover is just going to be Donald and Methven pulling the strings, I honestly don't know what to tell you :lol: . It's a complete 180 in strategy from everything we've done over the past 2 years. Looking forward to seeing how it goes.
 
Speakman speaks well. Touched on a lot of fans issues. He's right that he will be judged on actions and results. Head coach appointment is now pivotal. I really hope that he succeeds. We need him to!
