Well I would never claim to know anything about what's happening at SAFC. I know what I want to be happening at the club and that the complete opposite will almost certainly be the case. On that basis I expect Gary Johnson to be unveilled as "first-team coach" within days and the new structure to be a catastrophe.

Gary would be even worse than Lee!

Johnson, For me he's the only actual coach left amongst all that are rumoured to be interested. Cowleys are managers. Cook is a manager. Johnson is a coach first and foremost.

As mentioned before his career finishes (whatever his job title was) have been 15th, 15th, 17th, 12th, 18th, 17th 11th, 8th, 12th. He has never even got a team into the play offs. Only at Sunderland under this current regime could be employ someone who we have to say to - you can have the job but you'll have to substantially improve on your career performance so far. Fair enough they are looking for a head coach but at least look for someone who has the slightest bit of success on their cv. Appointing Johnson would be just about the most brainless and unpopular appointment ever.

I'm not one to criticise or complain about the ITK posts etc but astounds me that they can have the arrogance to continually post information that turns out to be wrong then come on here and refer to people who dont buy in as "hard of thinking" etc.

I do not, and never have, considered myself itk. I simply reach a conclusion based on my interpretation of events. So, unless you think that Donald is simultaneously omni-incompetent and capable of an intelligent appointment like Speakman, the logical conclusion is that it's not Donald's decision. That's why I put knew in quotation marks.

I thought you were getting Lee Johnson (in the frame) mixed up with his Dad Gary (not in the frame).

But you can't make impactful changes instantly to bring through youth immediately. It's a long term process. The fact that he has been there that long shows that he doesn't just move about willynilly = Congerton etc and sees a job done.

I feel positive about him, hopefully not let down!

Beats me but if he was the only who expertly worked his contract along with his first team pathway that enabled them to sell him for a ridiculous amount of money, I’m all in on him being here.
