Both roles have been filled mate they’re doing the interviews- started Monday I believe.

Sounds like a professional approach from the club for a change. Its also encouraging in that Donald & Co wouldn't have the first idea about this kind of set up, so this is the new regimes plan going forward?

I'm not one to criticise or complain about the ITK posts etc but astounds me that they can have the arrogance to continually post information that turns out to be wrong then come on here and refer to people who dont buy in as "hard of thinking" etc.

As a poster you are their equivalent. Every post laden with 'cod jordie'. At home do you talk to your lass in character or do you have normal conversations? I don't think you make a single post that anyone ever takes seriously. But carry on because you are doing no harm.

Thanks for the approval Hun, means a lot.....

Some are fine and do their best to pass on things they hear - others pass it on as cold, hard facts and then get surprised when they get flack for it later.

If Speakman is coming, the head coach (I'm using the phrase deliberately) will not have full control. Either the Cowleys have had a step change in attitude, or they're not coming.

Would expect their principles might prove a little more flexible if they get the chance.

Huddersfield sounds like it was a bit of a basket case, so I do wonder if "want full control" is less a principle and more of a pragmatic "we want full control here" because otherwise its going to tank. They seem like pragmatists in many other senses and this is a big opportunity for them. Besides which, if its a principle and they're as ambitious as they let on, then they are going to find it hard to get jobs in the upper echelons where this structure is becoming close to a given.

I think so, we’ve went from taking people such as Paul Reid and Richard Hill from Eastleigh.

Now we’ve poached Birmingham’s technical director. Not a Donald type of appointment imo.

I text my son something along the lines of "knowingly taking a job underneath a Sporting Director is very different to being the Manager and having the Owner influence team selection". Not that I'm saying the Cowley's get the job or that they'd be good if they do, just offering an observation.

Has brought some good young talent through at Birmingham as head of youth development, might not be his official title mine. Good appointment

this is the problem, you never really know how much input people have or had. did they pick out the particularly good young players or someone else? i mean, people at other clubs might say 'well look at (whoever it was) they brought through henderson & pickford at sunderland. great players, but would you fuck suggest we've had a great youth policy in .. well, forever almost

Well I would never claim to know anything about what's happening at SAFC. I know what I want to be happening at the club and that the complete opposite will almost certainly be the case. On that basis I expect Gary Johnson to be unveilled as "first-team coach" within days and the new structure to be a catastrophe.
