Is it open for the Wolves game?
Thank you.Yes but they are closing it straight after
There’ll be some absolutely seething about that even though they’ll have got to use it pre and post match.Yes but they are closing it straight after
Yup. Accompanied by a complete lack of self awareness.I find the tone of your posts condescending deluded and entitled, shit happens
1.55pm you were leaving it for now you said.Well, it’s not ‘Summer’ anymore, is it?
Aren’t you employed by the Council? (Apologies if I’ve got you confused with someone else).
"Pot, meet kettle"I find the tone of your posts condescending deluded and entitled, shit happens
The M&E has progressed in the last 3 weeks but the surfacing appears to have gone backwards. It was always Autumn of 2025 marra.
You've plucked this "summer" completion thing out of thin air.
The main span was only lifted into position in late September last year from the barge by the strand jacks.
It had to be welded according to procedure, inside and out with all of the weather constraints that accompanied it for starters.
The inside fabrication and other installation work would have been carried out according to safety regulations as the whole structure would have then been classed as an "enclosed space". All these things take time.
Only now are the sea fastenings being removed by the work crew on the mobile gantry.
All planned, and executed within a designated time frame.
Yeah, and I did leave it at that time.1.55pm you were leaving it for now you said.
Didn't take long for you to come back.
Obsessed?
I opened the thread and saw loads of new posts. I assumed we’d got an opening date. Instead it’s 10 pages of arguments.Absolutely amazed this thread has moved on 10 pages today.
The usual helmets making it a political thing?
Thanks for posting#Keelcrossinggate

^^ common senseThanks for posting
This had been posted previously but almost completely ignored by certain parties.
A lot of work is going on that is not seen and the project is progressing
The bridge will open when it is ready, hopefully that day is not too far away.
Arbitrary dates suggested by people with no detailed knowledge of what is going on adds nothing of any value to our knowledge and merely serves to promote meaningless drivel.
As stated previously, the final 10% of any project causes 90%of the hassle, and we are very definitely at that stage.
I look forward to the opening of the bridge and the benefits that it will bring.
Have a good day everyone.
It will be open on derby day , the mags want to use it^^ common sense
I’m hoping it’s open by December personally so we can flit between the town and sheepfolds at Christmas and around derby day.
When the rugby was on me and the missus must have went back and forth over the new bridge about 3 or 4 times. Cannot stress how much more convenient it is using that than going all the way to wearmouth to cross.
Really opens up “over the water” for me.
Patience and then enjoy the hell out of it when it opens.
We were planning our Christmas Day/Night out at the weekend and that is our current planning. Start at The Sheepfolds and have a bit bait then move into town.^^ common sense

It was announced as being due to be complete by Summer 2025 when it was confirmed in 2023. I’ve covered that and given an example earlier in this thread.
Sounds like a fine plan. Be done up lovely the sheepfolds at Christmas as wellWe were planning our Christmas Day/Night out at the weekend and that is our current planning. Start at The Sheepfolds and have a bit bait then move into town.
Reminds me of the Monty Python sketch this, just arguing for the sake of it.
