Bridge too far surelyWhat a strange hill to die on....
No you werent the person who specifically mentioned the supplier for the surfacing material had went bust and new materials had been sourced. You just pontificated about a load of nonsense and tried to pin blame on various people showing yourself up.I did though
...and 4855![]()
And extreme weather was it not at some point end of the year?the delay with the foundations will have been the bulk of it.
There’s an update on the contractors LinkedIn page.I don't live round Sunderland anymore so you're much better placed than I am.
I spoke with the security at Sheepfolds end who advised that the project appeared to have slowed to the point of a virtual stop.
As I said, there appeared to be less than a weeks work on a construction site of this type IMHO. Are the cherry pickers currently on the underside or are they working on lighting of some sort?
I'm up there again this afternoon so will take another look.
And you are saying what there bub?
Ive shared that already and he said it was a rubbish update and just the contractor painting things in a certain light to avoid court issues. Hes radio rentalThere’s an update on the contractors LinkedIn page.

I find the tone of your posts condescending deluded and entitled, shit happensWho do you think you are?
It’s highly relevant if someone has a personal stake in the project / the client.
Some posters on here will never have a bad word said about the council and just on anyone murmuring the slightest challenge. (Equally, some others would never concede that the council had done something well). It’s incredibly childish and banal - as I find the tone of your posts.
I honestly don’t think that’s correct marra. It was always Autumn of 2025 marra.
You've plucked this "summer" completion thing out of thin air.
The main span was only lifted into position in late September last year from the barge by the strand jacks.
It had to be welded according to procedure, inside and out with all of the weather constraints that accompanied it for starters.
The inside fabrication and other installation work would have been carried out according to safety regulations as the whole structure would have then been classed as an "enclosed space". All these things take time.
Only now are the sea fastenings being removed by the work crew on the mobile gantry.
All planned, and executed within a designated time frame.
I can live with that.I find the tone of your posts condescending deluded and entitled, shit happens
