All mockery aside The premier league have came out really badly in all this mind, whatever the rights and wrongs of the takeover are they didn't even have the balls to reject it themselves, they have basically said we will delay forever if needed. Then you have teams like Liverpool and Spurs putting pressure on them to reject it, just shows how corrupt the whole debacle is and unless you are one of the top clubs you have no chance. They are also clearly in bed with Qatar. I get that people find it hilarious as its happened to Newcastle but it has just shown how corrupt the PL really is. Who as a fan really wants to be part of it unless you are one of the big teams with all the money.
The answer is to pop the balloon and not add more cheque book clubs driving wages and transfer fees ever higher and widening the gap. I’m happy it didn’t go through and the hypocrisy from Newcastle fans and their MPs is disgraceful.

As I said before, don’t just call it out because you got stopped being part of it. Call it out anyway.

I suspect a lot less. I wouldn't be surprised if its a leveraged bug out like ours and he buys them with the sky cash. He'll want his own "Soccer club"
I have suggested this for months. Great business model with £18m profit in 2018. 10 points clear of the drop this year. Anyone with access to capital could borrow 300m and use CF to fund interest payments. Just enough investment to keep it ticking over for five years and then flip it for 500m further down the line.

Rumours aren't facts just because you keep saying them. Any proof Liverpool did anything or Qatar?

And why is that more likely to stop it than the piracy and human rights issues of the potential new owners?

If your based in the US you wouldn't even need to worry about people shouting outside the front of your shop/home too :D

I’d rather not hear it. Their delusions of grandeur are showing yet again based on a few years in the 90s

I just want to hear why they think the league has been 'unfair' to them? Why is it nothing to do with genuine questions put to the new owners (due to piracy and human right probably) and them pulling out.

It's just not fair.

Some daft twat on twitter was blaming Man city fans

Don't get me wrong if the clubs in the premier league were asked to vote they would vote against it in the majority, just because of their own self interest. We know this better than anyone after the farce of our league finishing.

That steve wraith has some serious issues, i put the following on Twitter and he blocked me, what a child!

Trivialiaing mental health to a footballs club failed takeover is just an embarrassment, either its an incredibly poor attempt at aiming to get some sort of gratification, or you need help

Because the bottom line is they’ve been hankering after “Arab” ownership since before Ashley and they think that they are some untapped Mega club that has a divine right to be in the champions league and challenge for titles.

Based on a small number of years as the “entertainers” in which they choked numerous times.

They are no bigger or better than many other clubs but seem to think they are hard done by. Wouldn’t surprise me to see the deal come back again, but hopefully not.

They can dress it up all they like and blame whoever they like, but the fact is they are a stable premier league club who splashed decent money last year. They should just admit they want to be the new Man City (with the associated cheque book reputation), instead of all the theatrics and hard luck narrative.

True but I doubt that that would be the reason they objected, if indeed they did. Other clubs arent daft they realised that by giving the green light to this piracy would be fair game for any nation wanting to show games without paying. As we know the whole premier league business model is based on PPV TV it'd be the definition of turkey's voting for christmas. Mags are hurt and as usual wanting to rewrite history but this one is clear and simple, Saudi's weren't ever going to be allowed to gain control because of them ripping off PL. They aren't in bed with Qatar they just have a contract with them which both parties honnored. Shame the sword wielding savages of KSA didn't think of this some time ago and think they could bribe their way to getting what they want as always.
