Of course it would have been good for the NE you bellend.....worlds richest club would have had a very positive effect on the area.....But on a lighter note we all look forward to another chancer taking your club over
Could be wrong here, but I was always under the impression that companies tend to invest in order to make more money. Surely there must be a way for these companies to invest in an area where they believe they can make a good return on their investment without the need to buy a football club first?I certainly would welcome investment in a Sunderland, I spend a lot of time there as do a lot of others. Likewise countless Sunderland folk enjoy the investment that has gone into Newcastle. It’s very much a good thing.
It’s not all about football, to me it’s not anyway.
This is the reason according to Jason Burt football writer for the torygraph
It was the Premier League not being satisfied that the Public Investment Fund, which was taking an 80 per cent stake in the club, was independent on the Saudi state. In fact although it has not ruled on the takeover yet the Premier League insisted the connection had to be formally established. “They wanted the state of Saudi to effectively be a director of the football club and that was impossible. The directors and owners test was written for individuals not a state,” a senior source said.
Really could be a defining moment for Newcastle I think, fan base is completely broken by this and have now given up, if the PL can treat a club like this then what's the point in trying really.
on the bright side, they haven't taken the club into a room, strangled them, and then cut them to pieces with a bone saw, so there's that.
They wanted to buy them cos like millions around the globe they are massive Toon fans mate.Could be wrong here, but I was always under the impression that companies tend to invest in order to make more money. And if this wasn't proof enough of a mag that can dish but not take I don't know what is.Of course it would have been good for the NE you bellend.....worlds richest club would have had a very positive effect on the area.....But on a lighter note we all look forward to another chancer taking your club over
Just embarrassing
Dear Mr premier league man,
I, like many others am outraged by your handling of this situation. The chance of the glory days being back at the toon and you go and drive the Saudis away. I ask for a bank transfer of £5.50 for the Saudi flag I purchased from eBay under the assumption that the deal would go through.
I leave you with a quote from my best mate who is a singer
"oh wa jawdees and yas divnt undastand"
Well having a pop at their club and accusing them of not having fans before their shiek owner came in, which genuine football fans know isn't true.Fans now?
Well if fans had a say the millions supporting them would have more joy than any surely?
They just dont want to see it do they.
Apparently PIF only recently saw this embarrassing piece of work yesterday and decided it was time to withdraw their involvement with these simpletons. What the fuck have I just watched?
Just that one piece of work, jesus they have bloody thousands of cringy shiteApparently PIF only recently saw this embarrassing piece of work yesterday and decided it was time to withdraw their involvement with these simpletons.
Seems easily fixed thenAnd they still think it might still happen
