Jofra Archer

Never doubted the lad would come back and show us all what we've missed for 6 years
Honestly, fair play to the lad, bowling night on 40 overs at 85-93 mph.
Some absolute crackerjack deliveries

Will miss the first ODI against NZ to prepare for the Ashes
I don't believe everything Ian Botham says but this has always rung true for me for a lot of players, not all though.......'

"Bowlers don’t get fit in gyms, that’s been proven,” Botham said.“Look at the record with injuries — Wood, Archer, Stokes, Brydon Carse... they don’t play enough. You get fit by playing.”

Bowling at 80s today

He’s not a consistent 90mph. Never has been. He can get up there, but he’s not Wood. He regularly drops it and tries to bowl seam or swing.

But let’s not pile on him ffs. His first spell yesterday set the tone and was one of the best I’ve ever seen by any England bowler. He could have had seven wickets himself.

This result is squarely on the batsmen.
