Jack Clarke

Lad will be more than happy he has a nice fat wage to pick up for a few years.
Wonder what the relegation clause will do to that wage next season? Personally like the lad, think he ran his heart out for us and can’t hold those games at the back end of last season against him as the whole club, including the fans, gave up on the season after 2 games of Dodds and Proctor in charge. Didn’t begrudge him the move and take no pleasure in seeing him back to where he was before he joined us in terms of his Premiership ambitions.

Love JC but that godforsaken cup game against the Saudis was a big reality check for me. Painful seeing him in pubeheads back pocket for 90 minutes. Realised then that being an exceptional championship player may be his level.
Pubeheads was also out of form at the time.
You truly are an idiot
Yes, he’s certainly storming the Premier bylines this season. He hasn’t even hit the sidelines recently.
Are we judging him on 6 games at the end of the season, coming back from injury, in a poor side in freefall that had given up? Or the other 80-odd games where he was consistently excellent?

Because by the same logic, Mundle had a run of games during the period Clarke was out and was diabolical.
That’s when you want your best players to stand up and be counted.
He didn’t, he hasn’t done it for Ipswich either.
Any decent Premier defender could suss him in a matter of minutes.

I can't be the only one who thinks it would be a backward step. It would knock the confidence of both Mundle and Watson as he will only come back as a guaranteed starter.

It will also be suggesting that the team can't progress without him which our current league position shows isn't the case.

I hope that there is no truth in these rumours as I can't see one positive in him returning.

First I’ve heard of it, oh and I’d say it’s because he’s a great player at this level and would massively improve our team.

Because he’s better than Mundle and Watson currently. He’d be another outstanding forward player in what already looks like a creative force if everyone’s fit and firing.

Football isn’t played with just the 11 players you have. Successful teams have multiples of players that can start in one position. He would create so much space for others aswell man everyone put 2/3 on him all the time.

If there was a genuine chance he was available it’s an absolute no brainier.

Seems to be a SAFC fan thing wanting to re-sign ex-players.
Don't understand it myself.
Now you'll get those on here saying that we re-signed Bracewell etc etc.
