Ipswich fans are already calling him lightweight, lacking in pace, one trick pony, unable to hack the PL

You genuinely don't blame him for proving he'll never play at the highest level for the sake of one season's cash?

Or do you genuinely believe Ipswich will pay him the same wages when they're relegated?

I wonder if he would come back on loan next season if they stay up - will be minging if we’re both in the championship next season as he’ll likely fire them back up and guaranteed to score past us x3

Not even just footballers is it, any young millionaires, influencers, even bankers, top doctors etc, they all have to flex on each other with the latest clothes and cars etc. They’re in another universe from us average people and they will go wherever offers them more money.

Someone on this thread here was saying he should invest £1m and live off the interest and retrain in another line of work… ffs. Aye cos that’s the mentality that gets you to the position where he is now.

Caught the end of Ipswich v Palace game and Jack stayed benched. Hes not had time to settle and seems to be playing out of position when he gets a short spell.
This all really highlights the big jump from Champ to Premier. Even Amad isnt pulling up trees. Our best player is a loan (Mepham )We get promoted and we'll need to new squad i.m.o. Can anyone see KLD lashing the cash.?

Time will tell but I had that thought ever since the disastrous mags game last year.

He was one of the best players on our team last year and as soon as we came up against a premier team we looked like boys against men. The entire team really. Shows the ever-widening gulf between the premier and the championship with a few teams caught in the narrow no man’s land between the two.

What?
Amad is highly lauded at Manchester United.
He plays regularly these days (starting and finishing the last three league games, plus starting European games).
He has 5 Premier League assists this season (including 2 in the last game)
He is obviously liked by the new manager AND the fans.

The gulf in class IS there, but Amad is certainly bridging that gap.
Jack Clarke sadly, it would appear, is not.

That’s Ipswich fans who mainly watch it on the telly m8, they comment in the match thread, and just like this place don’t necessarily represent the Ipswich support, they’re just vocal on a message board. They, like us, have to remember they’re nowhere near being an established premier league club, and Clarke is definitely a next level signing for them. I don’t think anybody ever thought he was a doku or a grealish but he’s definitely better than whoever they had there last year.
