I hope they do....as I'm glad when labour bods jump on the Tories
This isn't a party thing this is an honesty thing, and money that was generated off the sweat off miners backs and the killer illnesses suffered there after.
I find the panama thing of avoiding/evading tax is one thing. If it's found that any of the miners money has been misappropriated that's a whole different level of scumminess don't you think?
And all the associations need to be investigated for every last penny and how it was spent
I might agree if I knew what that was.Looks well suspect and clearly hiding something
dospiclabe conduct... and proves once and for all that the tories dont have the monolpoly on being scumbags
Your right it would be truly laughable if it wasn't such a terrible thing if it's true.As a former union activist I find it reprehensible that benevolent funds can be used in this way. The fund we had/have in my union was supposed to be used by members for R&R after accidents etc. not giving generous mortgages to the hierarchy. Especially mortgages which seem to have 'disappeared'. Unbelievable that he thinks he doesn't have to answer questions regarding funds he received from member's contributions.
Thought he lived in a council house?Didn't Scargill live in something about the size of chatsworth house?
Yeah, the entire officesThought he lived in a council house?
What's that tale about him? When he came to office he had a small house and a big Union. By the time he left he had a big house and a small Union.Yeah, the entire offices
I hate people who put their hand on your shoulder while patronising you like he did to that reporter in the clipSlimy cunt.
well he lived in a one that he didn't buy himself just like Lavery--most folk that lived in a council house bought their own and were very proud of thatThought he lived in a council house?
Pfffft....!I'm guessing that nice house in eshington will be for sale shortly and the right honarouble gentleman will be paying some coin back into the fund....
Who knows, from the news night thing it looks like he sees it as a personal matter between him and the union.I'm guessing that nice house in eshington will be for sale shortly and the right honarouble gentleman will be paying some coin back into the fund....
I don't know how much money your talking about but you did get paid for going on the picket line. For us it was 2 pound in the morning and a pound in the afternoon. You signed a book and at the end of the week collected a max of 15 quid from the miners hall. Lavery needs to be up front about what's gone on here. Any wrongdoing and if needs to be held accountable. This is likely to be the tip of the iceberg. Hate the way money corrupts people. My father in law was paid in cash by the NUM to go and picket down at Orgreave.
Except him and a few others out of his workshops never went .
The cash was used to line the pockets of union officials during the strike , whilst members of the same Union were on the bones of their arses.
Utter scum.

They'll be along presently to defend the shining beacon of union representation that is ian lavery. I seem to recall @Inkman was defending him last time this conspiracy came upThere's a few posters conspicuous by there absent on this thread who would be all over it if the rt honourable gentlemen resided on the opposite side of the house
100%. He needs to give clear answers or face de-selection. He's on the 'strongly support' Corbyn list and so won't get touched. The Leaders on both sides would get far more respect if they acted on issues such as this.As a former union activist I find it reprehensible that benevolent funds can be used in this way. The fund we had/have in my union was supposed to be used by members for R&R after accidents etc. not giving generous mortgages to the hierarchy. Especially mortgages which seem to have 'disappeared'.
