Nowt like a corrupt union official thread, to get the union bashers out of their beds. The type who are probably far from perfect themselves, do little to help anyone but themselves and spend all their time drinking Fosters and John Smiths in some shitty little pub or club , slagging all and sundry off, particularly Labour MP's , Unions and Councillors.

Was hopeless on Question Time and seen him a few times before & during the election - not the brightest - a massive mags fan, at one meeting in Stockton he joked "I'll not mention the football" even though Boro and us were in the Premier and they were in the Chumps.

Doesn't look good but apart from the likes of Corbyn & Dennis Skinner they all seem to have snout in the trough! And this small fry to some of the parliamentary expense abuses, jobs for the boys etc
 
Patel has claimed £126,000, £132,000 and £152,000 between 2011/12 and 2013/14 in expenses! She pays her hubby 10s of 1000s every year to run her office, although he's already a councillor. He claims to live in one place and she claims to live in another, they both claim expenses for travel. Rees Mogg was awarded £7.6m from the chancellor to renovate his wife's stately home. That's right, millions! But newsnight go after Lavery. That's just two MPs out of hundreds. Imagine what they're all scamming us for!
BBC Newsnight also ignored the Tory election scandals, Tory privatisation of health service, while MPs coin it in sitting on boards of private health providers etc, etc, etc. But a mortgage?! Tories claim that on their expenses in a couple of years.
The BBC is very selective with who they go after these days, funny that isn't it.

The allegations seem to stem from his time before he was an MP.

This man is the Chair of the Labour Party, who could be in government soon. If you are not concerned about his behaviour and his feasting on NUM funds then guess you arent concerned about public life full stop.

It is the ancestral home of Mr Rees-Mogg's mother-in-law, Lady Juliet Tadgell.

In 1999 the house was sold to Clifford Newbold, who is in the process of restoring it to its former glory.

Lady Juliet Tadgell is a trustee of the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust, which raised £7million to acquire the house.

Corbyn is suggesting that he represents a new style of transparent, principled politics and he has this man as Chair of his party? We all know that the Tories are nasty and/or evil but you can't defend Lavery by saying a Tory has done bad things as well.

Too right, being from mining stock I find the union freeloaders a particularly unpleasant breed, they knew what a bloody hard life it was and the health effects that many suffered, yet still saw fit to syphon off whatever they could.

Funny, because of this I checked the Right Honourable Mr Lavery's wiki page - turns out he has a conviction for being a football hooligan (Gremlin?) in 1985. He says the police fabricated the evidence. It just gets better.
