I think it was reasonably quick when you are talking about a tory government effectively shutting down the national economy for an indefinite period and implementing socialist policies to ensure the vast majority of the population have the majority of their income covered.

It wasnt quick like marra, Cheltenham was on while hundreds were dying a day in Italy.

I think part of the problem with the delay at the start was the data out of China didn’t paint the picture we now see, ffs a population of 1bn and less deaths than us to date, v believable.

Yeah possibly aye, South Korea was a good indicator, they have probably dealt with it best

We saw what was happening around the world, then in Italy and Europe, and seemed to have done nothing about it.

The piece in Reuters last night was very worrying

More people died yesterday than in any day in Italy, thats outrageous.

I just can't believe how slow to respond out Government has been, only now are they even talking about mass testing

At no point was there banning of flights from hot spots

We just seem to have allowed it to slowly happen and we'll probably end up the worst hit besides USA.

We rely on intelligence including scientific and deal with it from there.

Follow government guidelines but make sure you have the most up to date information.

I'm clearly not going to change your view and I'm not going to try, but I'm fairly happy with the government response. South Korea nailed it because they have had closer calls than us in recent years, every other country in the world has faults in their response and there are lessons to be learned but I don't think there is much to be gained by looking for who to blame.

There are just no easy answers and no perfect responses.
