Nowt wrong with dodds imo. He's not a natural leader but he clearly knows what he is doing and i reckon theres a quality head coach in him but probablys needs that mowbray esque figure alongside him to lead the group. Im all for him staying and think its a good thing

I was more pointing out that people complain about mates being given jobs but want a head coach to bring his own team in who would be his mates

Do think it’s important for a head coach to be able to work with some people he has a previous relationship/short hand and who he trusts though. Suppose like everything just some sort of balance

We certainly haven't improved in any way, shaoe or form imo. QPR and Blackburn home were awful..as bad as it's been this season.

I don’t mind keeping Dodds.

But I do mind inflexibility on not letting a new coach bring his team in.

More the problem is do you thing a new manager will mind, if I was a new manager would I want Dodds and Proctor staying & putting needless in me to Speakman would I, Definitely not.

The problem is that when a manager gets sacked its because he and his backroom staff have failed. So hiring a team of failures will probably lead to faiure. IMO

Blackburn was about as poor as it could get, but I'd say we played better against Bristol City and Cardiff and stopped the rot that set in under Beale. I am not trying to argue that we have turned a corner, just that we are not playing worse than we did under Beale. The football has been a bit better and so have the results.

1 win, 3 draws and a very poor performance in our last 4. It's not worse than it was at the end under Beale.

No issue with Dodds or Proctor in the roles they had under TM. But the new coach should be able to bring in their own assistant and anyone else they need within reason.
