Article in the Echo saying any new manager/coach will only be allowed to bring in one staff member and work within the current set up with Dodds and Proctor keeping their roles. Also repeats that Heckingbottom is still favourite.

Surely a wind up?

Doesn’t seem unreasonable re. Staff tbh. Proctor and Dodds did well as coaches under Mowbray. No need to ditch them. Players seem to like them too.

We don’t want managers bringing shed loads of people with them. Isn’t it Keane who wrote about one of his mistakes at Sunderland was not bringing enough people which made him easy to sack. He learned his lesson and took millions to Ipswich.

We need people loyal to Sunderland not the man in charge.

Mowbray and Neil were only allowed one staff member, Beale wasn't allowed any. Heckingbottom has been strongly linked over the last week. All seems pretty realistic.
Not true. He chose not to with the understanding he could add staff later if he so wished. He reckoned he'd tried to "nab" Dodds off Speakman at one point.
