Tbf, he got 7 goals last season in an abysmal team. Probably one of those players where if the system's right it just clicks for him.

Afternoon Makems, Bristol City fan here, firstly I'd like to say condolences on missing out in the play offs I was hoping you'd come up over Charlton.
To cut to the chase there's rumours down our way that we are in for Honeymoon, but it appears the rumours have apparently came from your end. With such a busy forum I was surprised I haven't seen anything on here and I'm sure it's made up but I thought I'd ask anyway. I'd be surprised if we were in for him because, with respect, the small amount I've seen from him he's looked gash & I don't think he's good enough for a team competing in League One.
Best of luck neat season & I hope you get promoted, without trying to blow smoke up your asses, you're far too big for the league you're in. Oh and finally if you can do over the scummers (Portsmouth) and make sure they aren't promoted then I'd be extra grateful, thanks!
I said he's ok. He has a good engine, and chips in with a few goals. If we can replace him with better, great. I just don't think he is as bad as some people sayJust out of interest could you tell me what you think he is good at?
I'm not sure I've seen an attacking minded midfielder who passes the ball as poorly as he does.

Does it say how many of his passes were backwards or how many touches per pass? Genuinely interested in this
He’s absolutely shit.
Touch is poor, passing is poor, crossing is poor, shooting is woeful, not a good tackler, not good in the air, not quick, not strong.
He does run a lot though. Although it’s worth saying that most of the running he does puts him out of position and he doesn’t do enough to get back into position.
He also likes to make runs enthusiastically while pointing, unfortunately these are usually cowardly runs into areas where he can’t actually receive the ball - some fans do fall for this though.
Wouldn’t stand out as a good player in league 2 imo. He’d have to drop down a few divisions where he would only stand out because he’s fitter than others around him.
I do hope some poor fuckers sign him, just to take him away from us, but I think i’d feel sorry for whoever ends up with him. Apart from if Newcastle signed him, obviously.

I don’t think anyone does!Honeyman could be a decent player. He showed glimpses in our relegation season in the championship but hasn’t really stood out in League 1.
He was given the captaincy at the club this season and although that was undoubtedly a proud personal milestone it made him virtually undroppable - something his performances didn’t warrant.
His work rate can’t be faulted but I’m not sure the manager knows his best position.
I criticised fans who slag off the owners, this is completely unrelated. Bizarre from you tbh.![]()
He's played 22 minutes all season & only made the bench 10 times. It's an awkward one with him because it's good to keep him around our first team, due to lack of professional football experience, but a loan would be ideal for him. I wouldn't be surprised if you signed him on loan next season. How's the striker you beat us to in the summer done? I know he's not played much, but has he shown anything? The lad from cheltenham
Not a mag, Bristolian living in London. Your 3-3 comeback with us last season sent us on a downward spiral making sure we didn't get the playoffs.Obvious Mag is obvious.
So why is it ok to slag off honeyman and not the owners?
Why have you made up that rule?
What a hypocrite
I haven’t made up any rule.![]()
I doubt we could afford to pay Bristol Rovers £5m to him. He’ll cost you around £5m but we’ll reluctantly let you take him
