Crikey he was out for 4 today off 56 balls with a strike rate of 7
Get him on that plane...
I just can't see him having enough scoring areas against a good side. I'm all for dogged, but it just puts pressure on the rest of the top order to score quicker
And out, incredibly, caught on the fine leg boundary hooking.
With stats like that Boycott will be demanding his inclusion in the Ashes squad.
Aye, the aim is to score runs
Seems like he can off spin but not gonna help much in Australia
Torn with this lad
Watching paint dry is better than watching this lad.
While accepting the critical points made i'm going to stick up for him like. Hes very young, values his wicket, has proven last year that he can really play and has so much time to develop his game. He will be a cracking player IMO
I agree, but I think this winter is too early for him.
Absolutely - hes not ready for this winter.
Another 50 in difficult conditions yesterday. Obviously he can dig in, just what we need at the top of the order for England atm, some balance to our attacking middle. Get him on the plane to Australia, even just to be in the squad and get some experience being in and around the squad.
He will replace Cook soon enough I reckon, like Cook Hameed takes a while to get going but he has enough scoring areas to do some damage imo. Have we forgot India last winter? He was class.
I like him me.
One good innings wasn't it
Didn't he nearly get a ton in the last match too?
Nobody is replacing cook for about 6 or 7 years
I like him but he wasn't class in India he was ok, Jennings was better
Alright, maybe he wasn't exactly class but he was better than okay.
Wouldn't be too bad.
Hameed was better. He looked more composed and at home than Jennings
Takes a while to get going!!! he makes Cook look like Adam Gilchrist.
