Not true really. The media went mad over Wickham at the end of last season and he was playing for a shit northern club. Any decent young English talent will always get the media's attention.
 

He looks as though he could be a good player to me,been impressed by the way he can play deeper and go at people.
Of course it's too early to judge how good he's going to be,this might be the best he'll ever be or he could go back in the bettin.

He's actually scored 11 goals in 18 games this season, 8 of those games off the bench.

Good player IMO. Has got a goal in him. Runs at players, is strong. Puts himself about and makes other chances for the team.
Nothing more than decent like.

scored goals against poor sides in europe. works hard but doesn't look like he has the ability. plays for spurs so the likes of andy townsend wank over him if he does something half decent

Do you want him to score against Man City every week? That's not how the game works FFS . Can only play against whoever his opponents might be.

Shall we strike off 100 of S upper K Eva goals because they were against Oxford etc?
