10 Gary Rowells
Striker
Before Roberts getting a chance here his career was in danger of fizzling out. Personally I'd want to achieve things in my career. I look at Jack Rodwell - money coming out of his ears but a rather sad figure who will always feel his career and potential was unfulfilled. So I guess its about having different priorities in life. Yes, they need to earn money but their life and their earning potential doesn't end at 30. Some players (in fact most) will be like you and just chase the money. Some players and their families will have different priorities. Who is to say which one is right,Yes and he will be set for life. What is more important struggling once your career is over or setting up a life yourself and future family. I know what I would do.
Didn't we just win an U15 Cup?Where are they going to grow more?
At an academy which struggles at u18/23 training day in day out with the best in class, the best facilities and the best loaning systems. Not every player will play first team football obviously for these big clubs but being there gives them a better shot of a career after with clubs in L1/L2 offering them contracts along with those clubs loaning these players.
