Greenwood's future

Aye just a daft little rapist. We’ve all been there

Do rapists (something Greenwood hasn't been convicted of btw) not deserve a second chance? Should they just be cast away in to the darkest dregs of society to rot where in all likelihood, they will re-offend?

This statement came out over the weekend, and a collective of berks released this in response:

How embarrassing.

I don't think people like this should be allowed to play football at this level tbh.
If it was any other younger player aside from greenwood because of his performances prior to this coming out, they'd have been dropped. Abusers, rapists, killers (Lee Hughes etc) should not be celebrated or benefit from the insanity of football money that they get.
Don't care if she's gone back to him or that she withdrew her case, loads of people stay or go back to their abuser. He's still a rancid lad

Keep seeing ‘rehabilitation’ and ‘learn from mistakes’ as support for bringing him back in

How can either be the case if he hasn’t admitted to it or been punished for his crimes?

Equally do they deserve to be paraded and celebrated on screen across the world? He can still get another job, but shouldn't be in football

A club like Manchester United should be better than being associated with scum like him, they have their pick of players throughout the world, he should be gone.

Clear evidence of what he is is readily available through a very quick google search. He should never play football again professionally IMO. From a contractual point of view, where do Manchester United stand? He hasn't been found guilty.

Is bringing the club into disrepute a sackable offence? Surely they would have exercised any and every option / excuse possible to sack him by now given half a chance.

One other thing is we’ve seen the likes of Lee Hughes serve time for horrible crimes and come back and get all manor of stick from opposition fans, whilst you certainly can’t sympathise with the player I’ve never been sure how this sits with me as it seems to be done just as a stick to beat an opposition player with rather than any genuine regard for the victims

I think the stick Greenwood would get on return would be off the scale given his higher profile, lack of punishment and the fact that almost everyone will have heard the recordings or read the transcripts and could lead to anything

I think it's a mealy-mouthed way of saying "He wasn't found guilty so why punish him any further?"
