Has he got a position, or is he just a standard utility player that is ok is a few positions? He does seem to be outstanding at owt in particular

Nobody hates him ffs. He's just not very good man.

The problem with that mate is that 'not very good' becomes, you are 'shite' to many all too soon.

Honeyman is a young lad who needs us to cut him some slack, but many seem to want to murder him.

The same people then moan when we don't 'bring any players in from the youths and under 23's'.

The lad is a prospect, how about we do what it says on the tin and 'SUPPORT' him?

Hes been really poor this season. Plays in circles and doesnt look interested defensively. He must be 23/24 so hardly a youngster anymore anarl

Local lad, seems universally hated on here, but 4 goals from 16 starts and a lad who seems to give his all for the shirt. Is there a reason people seem to dislike him?
I think every player is hated on here by various people like matey. Some people just hate for hating sake and some do have their reasons.

He tries his best. Unlike some of our fans who spent the whole day yesterday happily booing him and giving him shit.

I had a go at a few of them as I think the stick he gets is rediculous. He's not a world beater but he's in the team for a reason, as we don't have anyone better. He never hides and gives his best which is all we can ever ask of a player. If only those on numerators many times his salary did the same, we would be fine.

Its a shame that young lads from Sunderland think its OK to have a go at another young lad from Sunderland who is trying his best to pay for our team.

This! Maybe its because he is a local lad who is a footy millionaire ( of course he isnt) and has still got a lot to do development wise. God forbid he earns £4000 a week and and gets more game time than others on 60 grand. But lets just give him shit anyway, he runs snd runs but lets boo him.

Fair play to the kid he gives his all! Its a shame the other 10 overpaid fuckers dont.

Can't argue with that ..... others no doubt will.

He's come into a dreadful team, had 3 or 4 managers already and has to cover for statues like Cattermole, Rodwell & Gibson.
But people want to judge him after a handful of games for some reason ...... I won't.

Yet Coleman saying how good Gibson was when he came on and how good Cattermole was Saturday

Coleman is playing a very crafty game imo ..... the transfer window is approaching and we need to get rid of the high earners.

Too many ignorant aresoles in our support.

Pretty sure I see people calling the lad a 'f***ing prick' and the like on here fairly regularly. Someone on here was saying yesterday that they're done if he's picked again. They may not hate him but they're pretty hateful comments and not rare.

Is he though? More goals from midfield than anyone else we've had in recent years and clearly loves the club. Does that not get him any credit with the fans?
It is odd isn't it. Beats me too.
