How did you watch it Coeus?
Were you there?

Na, just on the computer.

how?

He has played alongside Honeyman. I think he knows Honeyman more than anyone on this place. He only mentioned Honeyman after I said hopefully the likes of Honeyman can kick on soon. His attitude was not a chance, he's hopeless. Honeyman might have made it into our first team (which has nosedived dramatically since our conversation) but I'm not convinced that equates to "kicking on". He still doesn't really do anything but we're in a position where we don't have any other options.

Your mate said he was hopeless and a couple of years later he was playing in the premier league. Do you not see how that highlights your mate is a poor judge of a footballer?

Baffles me still why he gets so much abuse on here.

He is a tidy player, finds a Sunderland player with most of his passes, wriggles his way out of trouble and is quick to turn in the middle of park. He can beat a player (this has dried up as the season has progressed but we know it is there) and he gives his all and is always showing in the middle of the park.

No idea why he seems to be so hated on here, he's a decent player at this level and is definitely good enough for the bench when all are fit.

Watch the video of the first goal. Watch where he is when we lose it and watch where he is when they score.
The tell me if you still think he gives his all.
and also why is he running towards matthews and not into space to start with, clueless?

Don't see it. He's lightweight in this league, has moments but overall is ineffective compared to his opponents.
Often caught in possession and muscled out, he gets the ball, can beat one man but is then caught... it's a hard place and games are won by the little battles. He's a loser at this level, unfortunately..

I genuinely like the lad.....he gives absolutely 100% every minute of every game.....but frankly so would I ...

I don't actually think he's good enough to play above non-league...both in terms of ability and stature

Brought up because we needed warm bodies on the pitch and the price was right. Our situation hasn't changed and I expect he'll feature semi-regularly until such a time as we no longer require his services (don't hold your breath)

If you were there tonight you’d be apologising for your thread here. George had a mare tonight with him and McGeady missing. George tried I’ll agree but terrible game otherwise.

He tries his best. Unlike some of our fans who spent the whole day yesterday happily booing him and giving him shit.

I had a go at a few of them as I think the stick he gets is rediculous. He's not a world beater but he's in the team for a reason, as we don't have anyone better. He never hides and gives his best which is all we can ever ask of a player. If only those on numerators many times his salary did the same, we would be fine.

Its a shame that young lads from Sunderland think its OK to have a go at another young lad from Sunderland who is trying his best to play for our team.
