Used to be like the Royal Albert hall on the high street, bout every three minutes. Rough as fcuk.

Central Bar then across the road to Station East. Quick walk across the High level Bridge to the Brisge Hotel.

The Metropole was done out a couple of years back and aint too bad, the Spoonies (if your thing) is surprisingly one of the better ones. The Grey Nags Head used to be canny but not been in there for a while You also have Station East and The Central (same chaps as Head of Steam) down next to the High Level Bridge which are spot on. Gateshead aint the worst place for a few scoops to be honest

As others have said station east, the central, by the river, bridge are all canny.

That’s what I would do, but include the Station just over the road from the Central.

Just go into Newcastle. 5 mins on bus or even walk and stop off at the quayside bar on the way
