You are 100 % correct it should not matter either way . What gets up people’s nose is him preaching his beliefs on others in a do as I say not as I do kind of way..

I’m intrigued by what you think he should do differently

I’m not a fan of him at all, but I think calling a musician a champagne socialist is a cop out. If he was a lawyer or a banker than you can call him a hypocrite, but a musician makes music.

Way more musicians are left wing than right wing (I can’t prove this btw, but I bet you will struggle to find me many only Tory supporting British artists or many Trump fans in the US)

But he's not just a musician He's openly spent his career campaigning against other political parties. He's said he's a socialist (Not wrong with that btw) However if he really is why does he live in a Mansion and has millions in the Bank as that goes against Socialist values..

So what should he do differently? He can’t live in a socialist bubble if society doesn’t have one.

Musicians are often political. From Dylan to the Clash to Bono to Morrissey to Dave Rowntree to Thom Yorke.

I’m not even scratching the surface. They are all multi millionaires. Why is Bragg so different?

Which specfic socialist values are those then that prevent you living in a mansion and having millions in the bank? If you can provide proof of him avoiding or evading his tax obligations then fair enough...

I'm sure he owns his on mansion, and I'm pretty sure the bank(s) he keeps his money in are seen as capitalist institutions..

I would say its pretty hard not to keep your money in banks these days unkess you think socialists should shove their money under their mattress.

I'll ask again then, do you know if he doesn't pay his fair share of taxes?

How would I know if he's paying the right amount of tax, however he's good friends with Bob geldof so I doubt it..

If he really is a socialist he's going against the very same values he's endorsing.
