Forthcoming gigs.

Thinking about The Pogues. Don't fully know their back catalogue, probably just the well known stuff. Anyone seen them recently? Any good?

I’ll be going. Went to Rum Sodemy & the Lash tour in May & it was one of my gigs of the year. Was wondering what it would be like without Shane, but the guest singers worked very well.

Listen to the first three albums. There’s loads of stuff away from the well known stuff that’s amazing

Seriously tempted myself, shame its a Monday night, though to be fair thats less of an issue now

Was at the O2 last night for the Wu-Tang final chamber tour, was fantastic, didn’t realise I coulda taken the boy like but had a great night all the same. Tonight’s show got cancelled , shame for those missing out.

It isn’t really The Pogues. I went to the last tour and it is the music of The Pogues with three of the original members, a rolling cast of musicians and guest vocalists.
I did enjoy the evening although I wasn’t keen on a couple of the guest vocalists.

Got tickets to see Korn and Architects at the arena in October this morning. It’s already making me question how old I am.
Can’t do the Newcastle one but sorted Manchester and my mate can’t understand instructions so he got two for the o2 too.

So I’ve now got Blackstone Cherry on the 30th in Edinburgh, to Manchester for a Korn 31st, back to Sunderland for a day, Blackstone Cherry in Newcastle then down London for the 4th, so might whack in the rest of the week and have the rest of it in London for a bit chill.

Can’t wait because the support Architects are absolutely superb.

Cribs were mint tonight. Granted I was about eight pints deep in town watching that lot get walloped before I started screaming Be Safe for half an hour inside the Boiler Shop before they finally played it, but still a great night.

How many of them were there?

What was the attendance like? Feel like I’ve been bombarded with offers for free tickets from all over social media sites. Got the impression it was struggling a long time ago
It was nowhere near a sell out and I could see pockets of seats all over the stalls. Looked like it was gonna be about 3/4 full not long before it started but it did fill out a little bit more as it began.
Shame really because it was excellent. Im tempted to go again to the outdoor show at Scarborough in the summer.

Off to Manchester tomorrow to see a really good Pearl Jam tribute band then on to London on Sat to see them again.

Got to do something while we wait patiently for actual PJ to find a new drummer eh @WASTID

the mrs likes the hu so will probably be going to see them at the city hall later in the year. nothing imminent though.

This is the dream for me like. I’d need a lottery win & no work commitments but pick a band I fancy & do 3/4 European dates. Fly about on the train, see new cities & finish the night with a gig. Belting.

last year was the first 'abroad' concert i've been to and it was class. canny to watch how other countries gig goers go on. in reality they're exactly the same as us.
used to play the nick from work and hitch hike all over seeing them. great times.
