Forthcoming gigs.

This is the dream for me like. I’d need a lottery win & no work commitments but pick a band I fancy & do 3/4 European dates. Fly about on the train, see new cities & finish the night with a gig. Belting.
If you get the opportunity just do it. I was very close to going to see Skinny Lister in Germany with a mate a couple of years ago but we didn't get to go as he was diagnosed with cancer and died within a year.

I still have a yearning to sing 'Hamburg Drunk' in Hamburg.

Cribs were brilliant tbh, best I've seen them
I don't think they were that great tbh. It had a great set-list, but the sound was pap for the first half of it, and it was absolutely clear that the crowd was already distracted by prior events

Not helped by the Boiler Shop having slow queues for drink - they're normally pretty efficient, but I think a few of their taps were off, and any cans were poured into pint glasses.

Aye tbh sounds was iffy for first couple of songs, one of the mics wasnt working and whatever, crowd seemed alot livelier than previous cribs gigs ive been to, queues at bar were no different to normal. Thought it was a great night overall.

Off to Manchester tomorrow to see a really good Pearl Jam tribute band then on to London on Sat to see them again.

Got to do something while we wait patiently for actual PJ to find a new drummer eh @WASTID
Might have to get along to a tribute act myself later in the year due to withdrawal symptome. Enjoy those gigs!!

Do it. It doesn't have to be crazy expense either.

Netherlands is the easiest one generally and so easy to get about relatively cheap on the trains. Been to gigs in Amsterdam Arena (Stadium), Ziggo Dome and AFAS Live which are all within half a mile radius, but also one in Utrecht as well.
Gigs on the West side of Germany easy to combine with Netherlands obviously.

Would advise anyone to try and find a gig to get to at Waldbuhne in Berlin. One of the best settings you'll ever get for a gig.

Just got tickets to see Cake down in London in October. Loved them back in the 90s when I was a teenager, so it'll be a proper nostalgia trip. Didn't even know they were still together TBH!

I'm going to see a show at Manchester Academy tonight, however I am flying back to Manchester and my flight has been delayed meaning I won't have time to drop my backpack off at the hotel beforehand. I'm sure they have a cloakroom, but am I likely to have any problems?

No. Manchester Academy is part of the University and they will accommodate a backpack at the cloakroom.
