First Test - NZ v England

Not doing much really. Just some vile shot selection.
England are a far better side than NZ. If we have a shite score I'd expect them to do similar. England have started slowly before on away duty. Nothing new in this situation.

When we toured Australia we had a brilliant schedule so that the players could get used to the conditions and get some form going but here we've had one game and not enough time to prepare.

I still think we'll beat New Zealand but the poor management has played a part.

Poor batting performance, nothing to do with the pitch.

Broad and Finn are bowling very well, it's just the NZ batsmen are no giving catching practice like we were so far.

Very true. We are unbelievably poor with the bat at the start of every away series. Rutherford looks canny like

We need to get monty on. No movement for the seamers who haven't bowled badly

400+ here at this rate :-| Might be just the kick up the arse we need before the Ashes.

Flat as a witches tit.

The highlight of the day was the lad in the crowd copping a six on the bonce, I'm sure SSN will show it tomorrow

Typical England not turning up at start of a tour. 2004 SAF was the last time we won an opening test match of a tour....

They need to learn something from the last 9 years and start preparing better....

True to form, we always struggle away from home in the first test of a series.

Nothing much from the NZ attack to actually fear. It was basically very poor batting (Although Pietersen got a good delivery). I dont expect the likes of Cook to make the same mistake 2nd innings.

Broad and Finn bowled well, and could have got wickets with a little bit of luck (many a play and miss).

We won't lose this match and we will the series.
