First TEST: NZ v England

Some things change, yet the majority stand still........... Stoneman out in the fifties and England struggling away from home.

England are such a poor test team these days. Cook, Broad and Ali living on past glories sadly.
Broad around 80mph with no swing is no use as a threat. Could still be in as 4th seamer. Woakes just does not look that good to me,Ali should never of been an answer to any question in a test match. Cook is still going to be picked as our best option despite being finished as the up and comers are shit!

I’d give Roy a go me as stone man also ain’t the answer

Not the old Roy suggestion again. The bloke doesn't convince me in the one day stuff, supposedly his best format. No way is he a Test cricketer in a million years. The cupboard is bare, this is the best we have. Our problems run much deeper than a change of opener here and a different bowler there.

Why hasn't Sam Northeast ever had a look in. Always seems to get plenty of CC runs. We're fucked for openers mind, I think I'd give Lyth another shout, he looks best of a bad bunch. I know Cook got a double in Cheatsville this winter, but I'm starting to wonder if he can't be arsed anymore.

The Kiwis miss McCullum as captain ,Williamson may be a top batsman but he's a very poor captain. Miles too conservative ,batted on too long and ignoring his legspinner. Astle has no confidence because he's been picked to do a job and his captain obviously doesn't rate him . Doesn't help that Sohdi the other legspinner plays for the same province as Williamson.
