First TEST: NZ v England

Who would you suggest they bring in?

I wonder what Graham Thorpe is doing as I would have him as a coach. Jason Gillespie as coach, Colly as f/t deputy. The Director will be one of the inner circle no doubt but I would again go for someone outside that rotten borough. How about Alec Stewart - always comes over as a no nonsense bloke?

Great idea. Meanwhile Mary Poppins can look after their children.

I think Thorpe is still involved with the ECB as a batting coach. I was referring to which players we should bring in to be honest, apologies for not making that clear as I agree that Bayliss has been a disaster. Not sure about Stewart mind, he's hardly set the world alight at Surrey.

I've checked and Thorpe is the ECB's lead batting coach.

If they can get rid of Bayliss just from the tests without it effecting the odi stuff they should do it as soon as possible. He's turned us into an embarrassment away from home.

No variation in the bowling , no fight in the batting.

Have NZ ever played home tests as late in their summer as this? Again, the most important and enjoyable format of the game gets scheduled when the crap weather is commonplace.

Shouldn't be anymore rain now, which is good. Our spineless bastards won't get away with it unless they salvage some pride with a much better batting performance. Realistically NZ could declare overnight and have it done by "tea" or whatever it's called in day night cricket.

NZ could declare now and win the game by an innings. Shocking that lickspittles like Swann think Bayliss should keep his job after this
Scyde Berry was saying in the DT this morning that the coaching role should be split between limited overs cricket and Test cricket (something that has been suggested on here) .... but ........ Paul Collingwood should be given the job of Test Coach (NOT YET!!! WAIT UNTIL THE END OF SEASON!!!)

Also that some established player should be sacked to basically demonstrate that performing poorly has consequences (Moeen Ali) and Livingston brought in.
