We lost a home test match to west indies recently as wellAye its not good enough
I don't like how some of the media are just dismissing our home form as a given though, should never take that for granted
Need to do better away from home and they need to start now. Change isn't always the answer, but it is now, as its just not working.

On the contrary, I think it’s pretty clear. It’s obvious he’s feeling the strain in my opinion. Its hard to tell because there is not much he can do with this attack
Only Jimmy showing any form, we will never take 20 wickets
I cant stress how much easier it is for a captain if he can 20 wickets, which is why it makes the actions of Smith and Warner so much worse, they have such a good attack, everything else is easier
Our batsman, while not the best, are always under scoreboard pressure
Agree with all of that. I'd like to see them shake it up a bit and take some people out of their comfort zones. Can't do much with the openers so I'd go:On the contrary, I think it’s pretty clear. It’s obvious he’s feeling the strain in my opinion.
I don’t think it’s as much to do with the bowling, although I take your point about not being able to take 20 wickets, as it is to do with the batting. There was no scoreboard pressure in our first innings for instance and we post 58. We’ve consistently failed to post big scores since the South Africa tour, there’s been the constant problems with openers and number 3, his position at 4 and number 5 and now Cook’s runs have dried up. His form has been well below where you’d expect for someone of his class this winter and I expect all this takes its toll and the added pressure is affecting him. Hopefully we/he have a good summer but I think a change of management is needed.
Agree with all of that. I'd like to see them shake it up a bit and take some people out of their comfort zones. Can't do much with the openers so I'd go:
Cook
Stoneman
Root
Malan
Livingtsone
Stokes
Bairstow (w)
Overton
Wood
Leach
Anderson
Maybe, but Broad needs a jolt. He's a shadow of the bowler he used to beBroad is a much better bowler than Overton

Yeah maybe. I just think Broad should be better than he is. Whether it's fatigue, or technical (agree it won't be attitude) something needs to change. It's been over 2 years since he took a 5-fer and whilst 400 test wickets is an awesome achievement, it feels like his on the downswing of his career...Not attitude though mate, so don't think would give him extra motivation, looks a technical thing to me
I think you can still play Broad, and should, but not with Woakes and Overton
Its all about balance

What happened to that quick left armer playing for Derby ... didn't he go to Surrey? He's disappeared but he did look lethal. (not literally)Possibly, but he has always surprised me
The thing is the winter is nearly finished, you want him in England playing in those conditions.
I honestly think going forward Woakes should miss out. Jimmy, Broad, Stokes, Leach and then some variety, either pace, or left arm or something
Woakes will get plenty caps when Broad or Anderson totally go

Mark Foottit? Was decent, took loads of wickets in the first part of last season then it dried up. Left us a couple of months before the end of the season citing "personal reasons".What happened to that quick left armer playing for Derby ... didn't he go to Surrey? That's the fella I was thinking of .... shame about what happened to him, I know sometimes when people move clubs it happens that they don't settle so I hope that's what's happened to him and not something more difficult to deal with.Mark Foottit? He's back with Notts according to cric info but at 32 y.o. You'd think his chance for an England career has gone anyway.I don't have much faith in the English set up, but when they call someone up then they get nowhere near the team, I usually trust them for it. Not sure he quite has it for international level this lad
